JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Radiology Division Management - Plan, direct, organize, control and improve functions of assigned Division within the Department of Radiology. Coordinate and conduct section and staff meetings. Work with Radiology educator to develop and conduct in-service education programs for new equipment, procedures, and policies. Assist the Senior Director and Business Director in preparation of budgets and global review of department operations. Work closely with the medical staff and management to ensure high quality of customer service. Recommends changes in operations that affect productivity, efficiency, and quality of services. Performs as a staff imaging technologist if necessary.
Performance Development - Participate in the development and monitoring of an effective staffing and retention strategy, including hiring and terminating employees; partner with department leadership to ensure effective performance management of direct reports; establish and maintain procedures for orientation of new employees; mentor and provide learning and development opportunities for direct reports; collaborate with human resources business partners department leadership to meet the division's talent management goals; support organizational programs/plans that impact employees and ensure communication, comprehension, and adherence to all Human Resources policies and related legal and/or compliance requirements.
Policies and Practices - Implement and enforce policies and procedures that guide and support departmental operations and services. Determine necessary changes to operations due to policy changes.
Compliance - Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements, such as JCAHO, HIPAA, ODH and/or other accreditation standards. Design and/or implement programs, policies and/or procedures to ensure compliance. Track laws and regulations that might affect policies and procedures. May prepare compliance reports and communicate results as necessary.
Financial Management - Assist with fiscal responsibilities of the department as requested. Monitor budget expenditures, identify and research variances/problems; Assist in tracking and monitoring revenue and expenses. Provide applicable reports. Research information for major purchases. May assist with annual budget preparation.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in related field or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
5 years of work experience as an MRI Tech
MR registry required
Management/leadership experience preferred
