Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our restaurant staff. This position plays an important role in food preparation, cooking, cleanliness, and overall kitchen operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is eager to learn, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of food quality and sanitation. Previous professional kitchen experience is preferred but not required as training is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards
- Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, portioning, and organizing ingredients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace
- Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
- Properly label, store, and rotate food products to ensure freshness and reduce waste
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and restocking kitchen supplies
- Support teammates during busy service periods and help ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Complete general cleaning duties, including dishwashing areas, trash removal, and floor cleaning
- Work collaboratively with managers and front-of-house staff to provide excellent service
- Basic knowledge of POS systems, order handling, and daily operational procedures
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old
- Previous restaurant, kitchen, food service, hospitality experience or related education
- Food Handler or ServSafe certification, or willingness to obtain
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-volume or fast-paced environment
- Basic cooking or food preparation skills (training will be provided)
- Understanding food safety and kitchen sanitation practices (training will be provided)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 40 lbs
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-Time Position
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Starting at $45,000 annually, based on experience, performance, and qualifications
- Potential advancement to Kitchen Lead, Head Chef, or Multi-Location Chef roles for high-performing candidates
