Responsibilities:
- Safety and Quality Compliance: Actively engage with and work in accordance with all CIMCO safety and quality procedures and contribute to an environment that encourages the same of the team.
- Material and Consumable Coordination: Assist Superintendent in preparing and coordinating all site material and consumable deliveries, ensuring all required items are onsite and inventoried.
- Jobsite Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly jobsite at all times.
- Equipment and Material Management: Receive, inventory, and document all equipment and material deliveries, notifying the Superintendent when deliveries are not in compliance with purchase orders, equipment schedules, or project specifications.
- Welding Quality Assurance: Verify all welds are cleaned, stenciled, clear coated, and visually inspected daily, generating detailed weld maps for all installed piping and submitting to the Superintendent.
- Project Documentation and Support: Work with the Superintendent to verify current project documentation is followed, assist in delivering quality as-built red-lined drawings upon project completion, and perform material takeoffs and identify rental equipment needs when applicable.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Technical or vocational training in welding, fabrication, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of safety and quality procedures
- Proficiency in material handling and inventory management
- Knowledge of welding techniques and quality assurance
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
