Job Title: Safety Supervisor

Job Overview: CIMC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Supervisor to join our growing organization. The Safety Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining and promoting a safe working environment by assisting in the implementation and oversight of safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Compile and organize safety documentation, including training records, safety meetings, and compliance reports.
• Reporting:
• Generate regular reports on safety metrics, trends, and key performance indicators for management review.
• Prepare and submit required safety reports to regulatory agencies in accordance with established timelines.
• Compliance:
• Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Stay informed about changes in safety laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the team.
• Training and Communication:
• Coordinate safety training sessions and workshops for employees, ensuring that all relevant safety procedures and protocols are communicated effectively.
• Act as a liaison between management and employees to address safety concerns and provide guidance on safe work practices.
• Investigation:
• Participate in the investigation of safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, gathering information and contributing to the development of corrective and preventive action plans.
• Emergency Response:
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response procedures and drills.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure the availability and functionality of safety equipment and resources.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Collaborate with the safety team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety processes and procedures.
• Propose and implement initiatives to enhance the overall safety culture within the organization.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in occupational safety is a plus.
• Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably as a Safety Clerk or in a similar administrative capacity.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and standards.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and other relevant software.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
