Position Introduction / Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the groundbreaking Axiom Space Commercial Space Station program in Houston, TX. In this role, you will serve as a lead and manage the Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) Parts across multiple engineering disciplines, playing a key role in advancing this innovative space initiative.
Key Duties :
- Evaluate EEE parts and compare against screening and qualification requirements.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to select COTS and MIL-SPEC avionics.
- Ensure compliance with spare components, parts maintainability, and obsolescence requirements.
- Author and maintain the EEE Parts Standard.
- Assess EEE parts against program screening, selection, and qualification requirements.
- Monitor space and commercial industry advisories and support mitigation actions.
- Represent Avionics as an EEE Parts engineering SME.
- Support EEE parts processes through development and production.
- Present for approval various non-standard parts to internal and external control boards.
- Perform reviews of screening, qualification, and DPA data as required.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across engineering disciplines, including avionics, propulsion, payloads, power, and related subsystems.
