What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Transformation Lead (SME) position at Cimarron Software?
Cimarron is seeking a Digital Transformation Lead (SME) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.
Key Duties:
- Drive culture and adoption of digitization of the current architecture throughout the organization by leading a team to develop, test, train and implement a digitized framework of the current architecture.
- Provide systems engineering, data architecture and MBSE leadership to a diverse team consisting of traditional SEs, Model-Based SEs, CM Analysts, Enterprise Architects, Program and Data Analysts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams by working closely with various engineering disciplines and departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated digitized SE approach.
- Manage, mentor, and teach engineers in the development of model-based environments and transformation of manual document-based environments and processes.
- Communicate complex engineering technical information to team members of various backgrounds and disciplines.
- Provide status and briefings to leadership, to include senior government customers and stakeholders.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

- Active Secret Clearance.
- Excellent analytical thinking, strategic planning, and effective communication.
- 4 or more years of systems engineering experience.
- Experience in leadership roles (e.g., direct reports, technical reports).
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF).
- Strong knowledge of modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UML).
- Experience using model-based SE tools (e.g., DOORs, Cameo, Rhapsody).
- Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline.
