Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration Lead

Cimarron is seeking an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration Lead to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at either the Redstone Arsenal in the Huntsville, AL area or Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs area.

This is a hybrid position that will allow for 1 day of remote support (i.e., work from home) per week!

Key Duties:

• Oversee the integration of AI technologies into cybersecurity processes, systems, and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AI solutions that enhance efficiency, automation, and innovation.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues across the data lifecycle to support workflow automation and orchestration.
• Design and develop AI models and algorithms tailored to cybersecurity applications.
• Conduct data analysis to guide AI development and evaluate model performance.
• Identify and prepare training datasets to support machine learning for AI systems.
• Collaborate with teams to identify AI integration opportunities aligned with defensive cyberspace operations objectives.
• Monitor, test, and optimize AI system performance to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement optimization strategies for deployed AI systems.
• Develop and deliver training materials to build internal team proficiency in AI tools and technologies.
• Stay current with advancements in AI to ensure the organization applies innovative and effective practices.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance in a reasonable amount of time.
• 10 or more years of full-time professional work experience.
• 6 or more years of direct experience in AI and/or Data Science.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems, interpret data, and identify areas for improvement.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning in a rapidly evolving AI field.
• Strong understanding of machine learning workflows, including data sampling, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and optimization.
• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques, including data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and Java; familiarity with machine learning algorithms and frameworks; and experience with data analysis and cloud platforms.
• Current DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security CE), or ability to obtain within 3 months of start date.
• Advanced or formal education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Experience working with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Missile Defense System (MDS) programs.
• Knowledge of model-based engineering (MBE) tools, techniques, and best practices.
