Cimarron is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator for an exciting opportunity to support TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The chosen candidate will be working as a member of the construction team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. In this position you will oversee and direct the performance of field construction activities for assigned craft in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. This position requires a working knowledge and background of assigned work, the ability to appreciate and resolve complex situations. This role requires proficiency in directing general foremen and foremen within their craft as necessary in their roles to meet or exceed all project objectives.
The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.
This position is expected to last less than 12 months, with the possibility of an extension.

Key Duties
- Responsible for preparing basic high-level estimates as well as detail cost estimates for capital cost and/or service estimates.
- Take a lead role in estimate reviews and presentations to all levels of management/client.
- Provide technical and operational supervision to assigned personnel.
- Review design scope, collect and analyze data for developing estimates in coordination with others.
- Collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts, outside contractors during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracy.
- Assist in identifying project requirements regarding time, labor, and material costs including escalation factors.
- Read design documents and analyze other applicable documents to prepare estimates.
- Identify risk items and assign risk levels to portions of the project scope.
- Review vendor offers and quotes from subcontractors.
- Perform cost and price analysis to establish price reasonableness.
- Maintain thorough records of all project documentation including estimate basis and assumptions.
- Develop cost models and templates for pricing estimates.
- Review estimates for completion and technical accuracy to ensure quality and integrity.
- Develop and maintain lessons learned database.
- Wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check, breath alcohol test, and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 12 years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated intermediate-to-advanced understanding of Estimating core processes while requiring minimal direction and supervision.
- Understands estimate types, classifications, and components. Specifically understands detail level estimates and design packages.
- Skilled in understanding engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and financial reports.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
- Thorough understanding of cost index and escalation projection sources.
- Understands and contributes to risk assessments.
- Skilled in oral and written communications, including presentation skills and ability to address all levels of management/client.
- Ability to work independently or with a team in a dynamic environment.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with estimating software is helpful.
- Bachelor’s degree is in Engineering, Math, or Construction Management.
