POSITION SUMMARY
Role Description: This position is responsible for identifying qualified Behavioral Outpatient Clinics, developing and maintaining positive relationships with them and their office staff, and extending the highest quality service. Work to negotiate competitive & cost effective pricing and obtain contracts with these professionals to meet health plan needs. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: explaining the plan's policies and procedures to health care professionals, resolving complaints and disputes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. May answer inquiries and resolve problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Processes Outpatient Clinic screening applications, which includes verifying and vetting information and sending a provider on-boarding packet/contract
- Helps Clinics understand the recruiting/on-boarding process and assists them with any on-boarding issues
- Responsible for identifying qualified behavioral providers based on minimum credentialing requirements and targeted recruitment lists
- Works to negotiate competitive and cost-effective pricing and obtains contracts with providers to meet health plan needs
- Skills required are strong phone, communication, and analytical abilities. Self-directed problem-solving skills are a must
- Candidate must have the ability to navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications for tracking, information gathering, and / or troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a must
QUALIFICATIONS
- Some college preferred or equivalent work experience
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Excellent organization skills and able to manage multiple priorities/projects
- Healthcare and call center experience is a plus
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to use PC software including Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Demonstrate good critical thinking skills and able to problem solve
- Able to learn and apply quickly in a fast pace environment
- Strong influencing and critical thinking skills
- Team player with proven ability to develop strong working relationships within a matrix organization
- Must be a current contractor with Cigna or Express Scripts
