What are the responsibilities and job description for the Actuarial Advisor, Actuarial Executive Development Program position at Cigna?
As a member of Cigna's Actuarial Executive Development Program (AEDP) you will take your existing analytical and technical skills and put them to work in a business setting, making a difference for millions across the globe! The AEDP develops student actuaries into financial business leaders. You will develop through rotational opportunities in core actuarial areas such as pricing, reserving, forecasting, and risk management. Additionally, program associates explore opportunities in audit, data & analytics, investment management and operations. A typical experience consists of 1 to 2 rotations, lasting 18-24 months, totaling a full program length of 2-4 years. After graduating from the program, you can continue to rotate throughout the organization into different roles to further grow your career.
**_Your first rotation might be_** _...in our Individual and Family Plans business where you would be the market pricing lead responsible for pricing individual plans that appear on the individual exchanges. Or you could be placed in our pharmacy economics department where you would analyze pharmacy cost and utilization metrics in order to drive savings for our clients and customers. **What you need to do the job:**
4-6 years professional work experience within actuarial roles
Attained ASA designation
A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possession of a strong desire and demonstrated ability to lead
Drive to develop business and actuarial skills through ongoing training and varied rotations
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 90,200 - 150,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
