What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Controller position at CIG?
Consolidated Investment Group (CIG) is a privately owned investment company with a diverse portfolio, including Real Estate Multifamily Housing and Capital Market Investments. We’re seeking a Real Estate Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, and tax planning for our real estate division. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll play a critical role in shaping strategy while managing day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and portfolio performance analysis.
Build strong relationships with internal teams, lenders, and external partners.
Manage and mentor the accounting team.
Drive process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred).
CPA preferred.
10 years in accounting, with real estate/multifamily experience.
Strong knowledge of consolidations, multi-entity structures, and GAAP.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage Intacct a plus).
Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
