What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Stand/Snack Shack Cashier position at Ciesluk Farm Stand?
Ciesluk Farm Stand & Mike’s Snack Shack is looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Cashier to join our team. This is a combined position working at both the Farm Stand and Snack Shack, providing excellent customer service in a busy seasonal environment. Weekday availibility required shifts are 8:45am-3pm or 10:30am-6pm
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Operate the cash register and accurately handle cash, credit/debit, and other payments.
- Take customer orders and accurately process purchases.
- Answer questions about produce, menu items, ice cream flavors, pricing, and availability.
- Prepare and package customer purchases, including produce, sandwiches, ice cream, and snack shack items.
- Scoop and serve ice cream and prepare sandwiches, milkshakes, sundaes, and other menu items as needed.
- Restock produce, food, ice cream supplies, beverages, and other merchandise.
- Keep work areas, displays, counters, and equipment clean, organized, and stocked.
- Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Move between the Farm Stand and Mike’s Snack Shack as needed.
- Work as part of a team and assist wherever needed to keep both operations running smoothly.
Qualifications

- Able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable handling money and using a cash register.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical work.
- Previous cashier, food service, or customer-service experience is helpful but not required.
- Weekend availability required.
Work Environment
This is a seasonal position that involves working indoors and outdoors, standing for extended periods, and working in busy conditions, especially during summer weekends.
