Responsibilities
- Record medical and administrative information in accordance with our established charting and documentation policies and procedures.
- Answer telephones, page calls, deliver messages to residents, etc., as necessary.
- Admit, transfer and discharge residents. Assist in arranging for transportation, packing, escorting to discharge/transfer area, loading, etc., as necessary. File reports, etc., in resident’s charts as directed.
- Transcribe physician’s orders to MAR and TARs. Fax physician orders to pharmacy. Notify nurse of orders and obtain her signature.
- Schedule resident appointments for diagnostic and therapeutic services, and arrange transportation.
- Greet newly admitted residents upon admission. Escort to room as necessary.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be a High School graduate
