Personal Service Attendant (Provider)

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Service Attendant (Provider) to deliver exceptional care and support to individuals in various settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior
• Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Document care plans, patient observations, and progress notes accurately in compliance with healthcare standards
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation or dementia-related confusion
• Support patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through tailored activities and engagement
• Follow safety procedures including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and emergency response protocols

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs
• Experience assisting with complex care needs such as Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
• Hands-on experience using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids is advantageous
• Strong background in caregiving roles involving long-term care or home health services
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with autism or disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care
