What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at CIE Century Plastics?
Primary Purpose: To assist the quality control department in meeting and exceeding pre-determined requisites and guidelines through established functional programs.
Essential Functions:
- Print labels for specified shifts
- Perform 1st piece approval process
- Provide boundary samples for all production runs
- Verify correct documentation identified per product / work cell
- Perform label verification process - 1 tote per pallet
- Perform in-process part inspection per DIS (verify frequency per specific product
- Perform LPA audits as scheduled
- Meet as IATF 16949 requirements for your area; step-by step, packaging, quality alerts, and visual aids
- Document detailed summary of shift concerns for the next shift
- Assist with training of new / in-training operators
- Pass color verification (Hue Test). Re-certify at Managements discretion
- Perform tasks with specific measuring devices (i.e. calipers, gages, Macbeth Light etc.)
- Must be able to work Day Shift: 6:45am-3:15pm
Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in plastics and automotive industry
- Basic knowledge of quality control
- Excellent attendance record
