What are the responsibilities and job description for the Way2Go Occasional Driver position at CICOA?
Provides safe, courteous and timely transportation to persons 60 years or older throughout Marion County.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Obeys all traffic laws during vehicle operation and drives to ensure incident free driving.
Oversees scheduling and documentation of vehicle maintenance (expenses are covered by the program).
Provides timely transportation service with the Exceptional Experience in mind.
Treats all passengers with courtesy and respect as outlined in ICARE.
Provides door to door assistance to passengers to include assistance with loading and unloading packages.
Responds to all passenger inquiries regarding their transportation needs and requests with respect and confidence.
Available to flex schedule to meet passenger needs when possible.
Reports all accidents/incidents in a timely fashion.
Demonstrates good judgment in all situations.
Exercises extreme caution while operating vehicle in hazardous weather/road conditions which adversely affects visibility and/or traction.
Effectively utilizes tablet, computer, cell phone and other technology for daily manifest and communication with office. Does so only while parked and vehicle is stopped.
Completes required paperwork accurately and on time.
Ensures appropriate documentation is completed for each trip.
Adheres to assigned schedule unless directed to do otherwise.
Does not transport passengers which have not been scheduled by Way to Go office staff.
Accepts accountability for payment of tickets or citations issued for violations of Indiana Motor Vehicle laws.
Performs Pre/Post DAILY inspections ensuring that vehicles are in safe operating condition.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
