Summary

Responsible for conducting First Article Inspections (FAI), maintaining

current engineering specifications, and monitoring quality performance

for assigned accounts. The role supports department managers in

identifying and resolving quality issues, reporting losses, and

implementing corrective actions. Promotes and utilizes good safety

practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES

• First Article Inspections (FAI)
• Serve as the Quality Assurance resource to department manager(s) for
  
  

problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous

improvement

• Monitor and measure quality performance for assigned customers.
• Ensure engineering and specifications are current and maintained.
• Recommend design and implementation methods for process control,
  
  

process improvement, testing and inspection

• Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test
  
  

methodology, quality plans, documents and reports

• Oversee quality and process plans to ensure that the necessary
  
  

criteria and provisions are included to support customer purchase

orders, contracts and change requests

• Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses
• Oversee the review of CIC purchase orders to vendors and establish
  
  

supplier quality requirements

• Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives
  
  

concerning problems with quality and assure that effective

corrective action is implemented as needed

• May compile, write and/or recommend training material on quality
  
  

standards and activities

• May work directly with the customer on defining specifications. Will
  
  

be responsible for coordinating the relationship with customer

source inspectors

• Maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate
  
  

policies and goals

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

• High school diploma and equivalent
• Quality Engineer degree required or 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience of AS/ISO standards preferred
