Candidates with previous customer service experience will be trained in product-specific knowledge. Customer account management, including marketing and sales a plus. This position is based in Roanoke, Illinois, first shift, full time, Monday - Friday.
Job Task
The Customer Service Representative serves as a product subject matter expert to customers; from ordering to service inquiries.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides the highest level of customer service by acting as the customer's primary contact regarding product specs, orders, agreements, or PO's
- Serves as a product subject matter expert
- Researches and answers product inquiries; including design, operational, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and specs
- Maintains a comprehensive and thorough understanding of company-specific products and industry trends
- Assists Operations as needed with production questions
- Tracks customer orders and inquiries to ensure follow-through and zero defect
- Maintains customer information in worksheets, tables and other tools for a) data collection, b) status tracking monitoring and reporting, and c) compiling information obtained from customers
- Corresponds with customers via phone and email in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Maintains industry literature, references and company product materials
- Files and maintains customer records
- Maintains a clean, safe work area
- Participates in training and cross-training efforts as needed
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum two years of professional support experience
- High school diploma
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instruction
- Ability to work independently or with a team

This position is located in an office environment, with exposure to:
- Extended periods of sitting or standing.
