IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
OBJECTIVE
The incumbent makes recommendations for network and infrastructure. Provides support and technical issue resolution regarding the efficient operation and use of, information systems and resources. The incumbent also draws on their practical experience and in-depth knowledge of various technologies in order to provide services to end-users.

OBJECTIVE
The incumbent makes recommendations for network and infrastructure. Provides support and technical issue resolution regarding the efficient operation and use of, information systems and resources. The incumbent also draws on their practical experience and in-depth knowledge of various technologies in order to provide services to end-users.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Make recommendations for network and infrastructure improvements with alignment to IT policies and best practices.
- Maintain network operations and ensure line of business applications can run efficiently.
- Analyze network environments and migrate to new configurations or equipment.
- Administer Windows Servers, focusing on Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS management.
- Identify and respond to security incidents.
- Facilitate communications amongst vendors to provide solutions to the business.
- Provide support on escalated tickets.
- Ensure backups take place on systems deemed critical.
- Experience in configuring network devices including switches, access points, routers, and firewalls.
- Strong background in Windows Server environments, specifically with Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
- Experience with Azure/Entra, including Entra ID management and Intune device configurations
- Experience with virtualization technology (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience configuring Ubiquiti network devices.
- Knowledge of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) best practices.
- Experience with Azure tenant and network migrations.
- Familiarity with best practices and policies for network systems.
- CompTIA Network or CCNA certification
- This position does not include supervisory responsibilities
