To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com Job Description What you'll be doing The US Data Management Office (US DMO) is responsible for establishing data as a strategic asset for CIBC US Region, further enhancing data governance, building out our data and analytic capabilities, and developing the US Region data management strategy. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Data Analytics (US Region), the Sr. Analyst – Data Analytics is a key member of the team. This person will be a self-motivated, highly organized, technically sophisticated, and detail-oriented individual that will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders while maintaining in-depth knowledge of the underlying data, data structures, and enterprise tools. This position supports the execution of US DMO initiatives specifically related to the development of business intelligence reports and automated workflows for our internal clients. The incumbent will enable business use cases by: Analyzing and preparing data Developing reports, automating processes, and enabling information delivery portals that are shared with appropriate business stakeholders Utilizing the enterprise suite of analytics tools including Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, Tableau, and Cognos Developing strong governance around the development and ongoing delivery of solutions The ideal candidate will be skilled in presenting data concisely and accurately, solving problems proactively, learning and mastering new technologies, and communicating with many different levels of employees across the organization. Who you are You’re an established professional with 6-8 years of experience working with data (Financial Services experience strongly preferred). You’re passionate about people and find meaning in authentic relationships and surround yourself with a diverse group of partners. You can demonstrate experience with commonly used Business Intelligence tools, such as Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, or other similar tools. Your influence makes a difference in breaking down barriers and building consensus among project team members. You’re goal-oriented and demonstrate an aptitude to establish, articulate, execute, and measure the results of your plans. You embrace and advocate for change and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment. You give meaning to data by utilizing highly developed critical reasoning skills to convey the information in a meaningful way. You have a degree/diploma in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or have equivalent work experience. You're fluent in English with proven, strong communication skills, both written and oral.
