Job Responsibilities
- Supervise construction field operations to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, other contractors, etc.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions -including project safety, scheduling, engineering, material control, daily activity planning, and goal setting and may provide day to day direction of onsite administration staff and engineers.
- Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
- Provide technical assistance, recommending construction methods and equipment as required, suggesting alternatives to mitigate delays and interface issues during design changes and ongoing construction.
- Coordinate, manage and coach resources to successfully execute and forecast the work.
- Ensure all onsite personnel complies with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
- Seeks solutions to special requests or issues with work in a timely and professional manner.
- Understand the project cost code structure related to your work activities for time card purposes. Accurately record and report crew work hours and quantities installed and ability to manage productivity.
- Leads by example in safety, quality and productivity
- Combinations of technical training and related experience in substation construction and maintenance.
- Minimum of five years construction management and/or craft supervision experience in substation work.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and communicate in a timely, effective manner.
- Electrical licensing in accordance with state requirements.
- Must be willing to travel with in the region.
