Overview
Package Pavement, Inc., located in Ravena, NY is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.
Candidate will operate front end loader to lift and transport sand and gravel between storage areas or truck dump piles to hoppers of processing plant. Perform road grading and general clean up around yard.
Compensation: $24–$27 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities
Duties to include:
- Perform pre-operational equipment checks and complete daily inspection forms.
- Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and keeping equipment clean and free of debris.
- Communicate with dryer operate regarding material needs
- Maintain outside bins to keep aggregates segregated
- Confer with Transportation Coordinator in regard to ordering aggregate
- Pump off tankers of material
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Operate yard truck to assist shipping department with moving trailers
- Check loaded trailers scheduled for delivery for accuracy of order as time allows.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
We are looking for an individual with 2-5 years of experience in the operation of heavy equipment and mechanical maintenance ability preferred. OSHA or MSHA training desired.
