What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Account Manager - Locum Tenens position at CI Health Group?
CI Health Group is a boutique healthcare staffing and recruitment firm connecting physicians, advanced practice providers, allied health providers, and dentists with healthcare facilities nationwide. We take a personalized, high-touch approach to permanent placement, locum tenens, and executive search, and we're looking for team members who bring that same level of care to every relationship they manage.
About the Role:
A Client Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for an established book of business within our Locum Tenens division. You'll be responsible for developing existing client partnerships, ensuring smooth fulfillment of locum tenens needs, and serving as a consistent, dependable point of contact for our healthcare facility partners.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships, solving problems proactively, and managing the day-to-day details that keep a partnership running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for a defined portfolio of existing locum tenens clients
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular communication, check-ins, and responsiveness to client needs
- Partner with internal recruiting teams to align client staffing needs with available providers
- Manage the logistics of ongoing locum tenens assignments, including scheduling, renewals, and issue resolution
- Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns before they become problems
- Track account activity, contract details, and assignment timelines to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts (not new client acquisition)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with recruiting, credentialing, and operations teams to support client needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of direct industry experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first mindset
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and moving parts simultaneously
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with recruiting and operations teams
- Problem-solver who takes ownership and follows through
- Account management or client-facing experience preferred, but not required
- Interest in or familiarity with healthcare staffing, locum tenens, or the healthcare industry is a plus
