Job Description
Pay range: $70,400 - $88,000 / annually
This role requires an on-site presence in Denver, CO, 4-5 days a week.
The Club Designer will be a core member of the development team, responsible for managing all elements of the design process for Chuze Fitness and assist the Director of Club Design (DCD) in the creation and enhancement of the club’s identity. This position requires operational excellence and the ability to efficiently plan and prioritize across multiple projects, regions, and partners. The club designer will join Chuze Fitness in a period of high growth and must be able to operate at and plan for scale - while keeping priority on positive member experience, alignment with the Chuze Fitness brand, and high-quality, cost-effective, durable design choices.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Design new locations and remodels in collaboration with the DCD by creating detailed club layout plans, including material finishes, fixture and furniture placement, and signage
Assist in all aspects of the design function, including managing architects, maintaining internal design libraries, and managing studio design components
Able to analyze in AutoCAD due diligence information to incorporate space planning for large-scale fitness projects
Collaborate with DCD to create an innovative and budget-conscious design aesthetic for the interior/exterior of all clubs
Act as a cross-functional liaison between both internal and external partners, including architects, vendors, construction, procurement, marketing, facilities, operations and field partners
Create 2D and 3D renderings showing design intent, incorporating material finishes, graphics, fixture/furniture, and signage solutions for clubs
Assess design implementation and provide feedback for improvement to company best practices
Plan, organize, and manage project budgets, workloads, and timelines, adhering to company standards and processes for club design
Build and give design presentations that demonstrate creativity, design abilities, and strong knowledge of industry trends that are on-brand, innovative, and relevant to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
A portfolio or work samples are required with an application.
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related field (may be supplemented by equivalent work experience)
- 5 years of experience with customer-centric brands with complex builds
- Efficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator, or Photoshop
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail
- Team player who can work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
- Experience in the fitness industry (preferred)
- Experience with Revit (preferred)
- Previous project management experience (preferred)
- Ability to lift at least 30lbs
