Shipping & Warehouse Associate - Industrial Manufacturing

Twinsburg, Ohio | 1st & 2nd Shift | $19.00-$21.50/hour

1st Shift: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM | 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM-10:00 PM

Position Summary

Churchill Steel Plate is seeking experienced Shipping & Warehouse Associates to prepare, stage and load heavy steel plate and finished parts for customer shipment. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced industrial environment. Candidates must have forklift experience and be able to work independently, stay organized, think on their feet and safely manage changing priorities throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

· Locate, identify and stage completed steel parts for customer orders.

· Verify material, quantities and finished parts against shipping and order documentation.

· Operate a forklift to safely move pallets, skids and steel products throughout the facility.

· Prepare finished parts for shipment, including palletizing, banding, wrapping and securing material.

· Maintain proper separation and identification of multiple customer orders during staging.

· Operate overhead cranes and assist with heavy material movement when trained and authorized.

· Communicate order, material or shipping discrepancies to supervision.

· Maintain an organized shipping/staging area and follow established safety procedures.

Requirements

· Previous industrial, manufacturing or heavy-material warehouse experience required.

· Forklift experience required.

· Overhead crane experience preferred; training may be provided.

· Previous shipping, staging or order-preparation experience preferred.

· Ability to read work orders and shipping paperwork and perform basic quantity verification.

· Ability to use a tape measure and follow written and verbal work instructions.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to keep customer orders properly separated and identified.

· Ability to think independently, prioritize work and respond to changing production and shipping requirements.

· Comfortable working around heavy steel and material-handling equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

· Dependable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as production needs require.

· Steel-toe safety footwear with metatarsal protection required; other required PPE is provided by Churchill Steel Plate.

Schedule & Pay

First and second shift positions are available. Regular first shift hours are 6:00 AM-2:00 PM and regular second shift hours are 2:00 PM-10:00 PM. Overtime is available based on production and shipping requirements.

Starting Pay: $19.00-$21.50 per hour, based on experience

Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
