Job Description :
The Student Ministries Pastor will love, pray for and create a ministry environment that engages middle school and high school students with the hope and power of the Gospel.
This pastoral staff position will develop and implement a comprehensive ministry for students and work alongside the church staff leadership team to care for the needs of the church.
Located in beautiful northern Colorado, miles East of Fort Collins, Eaton Community Church is passionate about glorifying God by helping people meet know and follow Jesus.
Eaton Community Church is an exciting church with about people in our weekly worship attendance and approximately students actively participating in our Student Ministries (6-th grade).
This pastor will assist the Senior Pastor with shepherding and leadership responsibilities of the church while serving as the primary leader of our youth ministry.
He will lead and encourage a team of volunteers to disciple our students. We have an excellent core of volunteer leaders who are eager to have a leader who is passionate about reaching students for Christ.
Qualifications :
- Committed to modeling, promoting and multiplying a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Meet the Biblical qualifications of a church leader.
- Agree with the doctrine of our church statement of faith.
- Able to teach the Word of God effectively.
- Undergraduate degree with a Bible emphasis required. (ministry graduate degree preferred)
- Ideally experienced in church ministry.
- A pastor’s heart, history of spiritual growth and a love for students.
- Organizational and administrative skills necessary to recruit, develop and work with those on the ministry team.
- Willing to comply with a background check which insures there are no criminal convictions or pending charges.
- Flexible to change which may require possible adaptations in this job description depending on gifts and abilities.
- Great Team player with strong relational skills.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Oversee, lead and support the Student Ministries (grades 6-) and College Age & Young Adults of Eaton Community Church.
- Actively equip parents for their role in the spiritual training of students.
- Serve alongside the Senior Pastor to shepherd the church congregation.
- Identify, equip and coach adult volunteer leaders
- Develop relationships through personal contact with students
- Creatively plan ministry opportunities and fellowship activities for students as a part of the annual ministry calendar.
- Partner with Missions Ministries to identify and provide short-term missions and local outreach opportunities for the students.
Salary : Commensurate with qualifications and experience
