Responsibilities

• Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized, labeled correctly, and replenished regularly to meet customer demand
• Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Provide friendly assistance to customers by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions
• Conduct product demos when applicable to highlight features and benefits to customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and checkout area for a safe shopping environment
• Upsell related products or promotions to enhance customer experience and increase store sales
• Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including balancing at shift end and managing cash handling procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in English and bilingual options are a plus
• Basic math skills for cash register operations, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers confidently
• Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable
• Excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or in person
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is a bonus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings
