Childcare Center Assistant aide

The ideal candidate for this position must enjoy working with children as well as parents, is a dedicated professional who understands how children learn, and has the ability to create a nurturing learning environment. You should have strong interpersonal skills, as you will be collaborating with other teachers, working with students and talking to families. Candidate must be willing to adhere to all DCY and State guidelines. If you have experience in an early childhood center and are interested in joining our growing team, we encourage you to apply. We have the following full -time hours available 7-4, 8-5, and Part-time 15-20 hours, Monday - Friday, 10-2 and 2-6. Experience desired but not required. A CDA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications
o High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

o CPR Certification (Preferred)

o Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)

o Must be able to pass a BCI/FBI Background Check

Experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Support students with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements.
• Help in lesson planning and implementing educational activities focused on literacy and math.
• Foster communication with students and parents to enhance learning experiences.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children through effective behavior management and care.
• Maintain records of student progress and participate in curriculum development as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
