What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Coordinator position at Church Home of Hartford?
We are looking for an Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate and facilitate programs for our residents in Independent Living while encompassing the seven dimensions of wellness. Responsibilities include developing calendar of events, coordinating guest speakers/artists, promoting resident participation from within.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Recreation, Hospitality, Sociology, related field or equivalent
- 2 years organizing and facilitating group activities/events
- 2 years of customer service or related experience
- 1 years relating to older adult population and aging
- A valid Connecticut Driver's License
Specific Skills:
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle to off site activities.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and set up supplies and furniture for activities and programs.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office systems, including Publisher, Excel, Word and Microsoft Office.
- Must have knowledge surrounding webinar set ups, Power Point set-ups, etc.
- Proficient in IT and AV set up (microphones, projection, sound, etc.)
- Strong logistics, analytical and organizational skills helpful.
