Engineering and Campus Safety Specialist

The Engineering/Security Support Specialist will provide administrative support to VP of Engineering and Security, and others in the Housekeeping, Maintenance and Security departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to jump in on hands on projects throughout the facility. This would be a great opportunity for someone with an administrative background who is looking to gain experience in an environmental career. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.

Skills and Competencies:

1. Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
2. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
3. Must be able to perform job functions without direct supervision.
4. Advanced expertise with Microsoft applications, Excel in particular.
5. Math acumen for budget and other numerical tasks.
6. Maintains good working rapport with residents and staff throughout all levels of the organization.
7. Demonstrates sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns. 
8. Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
9. Willingness and ability to do moderate physical labor and work occasionally outside.
