Matboard Assembly (Seasonal)

About Church Hill Classics:
At Church Hill Classics, we’ve proudly handcrafted over two million custom diploma frames, certificate frames, varsity letter frames, and award frames since 1991. Based in Monroe, CT, our female-owned company remains a U.S. leader in premium custom framing—trusted by over 1,500 colleges and universities, honor societies, the U.S. Military, and professional associations.

The Role:
We’re looking for temporary, seasonal help in our custom framing process by preparing internal matting for customer orders during our peak season.  The ideal candidate likes working with their hands, has strong attention to detail, and can follow work orders accurately.

This is currently a temporary role, ending in June. However, there may be potential to either extend the temporary assignment or convert to a permanent position in the event the temporary employee demonstrates outstanding reliability, accuracy, and productivity, as well as if the business determines additional headcount is needed in this area after the conclusion of the temporary assignment.

What You’ll Do:

• Find, collect, and organize mat parts and prep materials based on order specifications.
• Assemble internal matboard parts as ordered by the customer.
• Verify materials against work orders to ensure accuracy and quality, checking for defects such as scratches, chips, or incorrect dimensions.
• Label and stage prepped materials in designated areas for use by frame assemblers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Why Join Us: Because we’re more than just a manufacturer—we’re storytellers of achievement, innovators of design, and dedicated to delivering craftsmanship that celebrates life's milestones.  As part of the Church Hill Classics team, you will be part of a brand recognized for excellence and quality, and you will be an active participant in contributing to the growth and success of a company that values precision, creativity, and collaboration.

Physical Qualifications: Due to the nature of the work, this position requires the following:

• Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching with hands and arms
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, operating tools, or using machinery
• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds as needed
• Visual acuity required for detailed inspection and screen-based work
• Must be able to see, hear, and respond to safety signals and equipment sounds
• Verbal communication is required for meetings, team coordination, and safety protocols
