Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive Yard Supervisor to lead our outdoor/indoor storage and logistics operations. Duties
- Supervise daily yard operations, including materials handling, shipping & receiving, and inventory control
- Manage team members, assign tasks, monitor performance, and foster a safety-first culture
- Oversee forklift operations and heavy lifting activities while ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and yard audits
Experience
- Proven experience in the lumber yard and/or warehouse management field
- Extensive forklift operating experience
- Strong inventory management and material handling skills a must
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and heavy lifting requirements
- Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes a strong plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation and maintenance is preferred
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
