What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cold Water Canyon Starters/Rangers position at Chula Vista Resort?
Manage tee sheets, ensure pace of play, act as liaison between players and course management/employees, handle emergency situations and generally ensure the course is maintained and all aspects of play run smoothly while remaining professional and friendly at all times.
Responsibilities:
• Manage tee sheets
• Communicate via radio then greet and start all groups prior to teeing off • Communicate effectively with customers and staff
• Maintain desirable pace of play
• Monitor play on the course being courteous and respectful
• Educate guests and enforce rules and regulations, removing golfers who are in violation
• Monitor weather conditions and communicate with pro shop regarding further plans of action
• Maintain course supplies
• Assist with maintaining cart cleanliness
• Maintain greens and fix ball marks
• Repair divots with sand on all par 3 holes, fix fairway divots, rake bunkers
Qualifications:• Knowledge
o Preferred: Basic Golf knowledge
o Required: Ability and willingness to learn
• Physical
o Must be able to sit, stand and walk throughout 8 hour shift
o Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, twist, and kneel throughout 8 hour shift
o Must be able to push and pull various equipment including rakes throughout 8 hour shift
