Job Overview
Warehouse Specialist to assist in performing warehouse duties involving inventory, staging, packing, storage and shipping of electronic equipment and related material. Further, the candidate should feel comfortable operating and maneuvering motor vehicles and material-handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, as necessary. Candidates need to be proficient in utilizing computer-based inventory systems for entry, identification, and tracking of material.

Candidates need to be proficient in utilizing computer-based inventory systems for entry, identification, and tracking of material.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist in verification of materials against receiving documents, noting, and reporting discrepancies and any damages.
- Process material in automated inventory management system.
- Route and assigns material to storage locations.
- Undertake storing, stacking, and palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, ensuring locations are accurately noted in the automated inventory management system.
- Take inventory of stored materials to identify discrepancies.
- Assist facility personnel in obtaining the correct inventory stock number(s) and validating customer material requests.
- Operate company owned forklifts and other equipment as needed to load and unload trucks and move material around the warehouse and destination facility.
- Maintain a hazard-free workspace to include daily cleanup and organization.
- Manage the storage of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
- Communicate to appropriate facility personnel that material has arrived.
- Prepare Direct Turn Over (DTO) and DD1149 documents for packaging of material to be shipped.
- Knowledgeable in basic warehouse operations.
- Conduct work in a timely and professional manner.
- Self-starter actively pursuing self-education.
- Ability to keep management and Logistician apprised of progress, work well with others, adhere to contract requirements, and comply with company policies and procedures as well as government processes.
Mandatory:
- Must be a US citizen.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance as required.
- Two (2) years of warehouse experience, to include:
- Performing inventory, staging, packing, storage, and shipping of electronic equipment and related material.
- Operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment.
- Utilizing a computer-based inventory and bar-coding system for entry, identification, and tracking of material.
- Must be knowledgeable in the operation of Microsoft Office Suite and other business software.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
- Experience with CMPRO Inventory database and other inventory database software.
- Able to obtain Forklift Certification.
- Must be able to tolerate heat and cold weather elements year-round.
- Comfortable working around exposure to welding and painting fumes.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, or squat to pack/unpack boxes
- Must be able to climb on a ladder to reach material on upper shelves
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
