Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards for fine dining or casual settings
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage table settings, clear dishes, bus tables, and assist with food handling and sanitation practices
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food allergies to inform guests effectively
- Support host/hostess duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations via OpenTable
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during food preparation, serving, and cleanup processes
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and payment processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations in the food industry
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and change calculations accurately
- Experience with reservation management platforms like OpenTable is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items while maintaining a friendly demeanor
