Position: Cook / Line Cook
Reports To: Kitchen Manager or General Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking dependable, hardworking cooks to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in preparing high-quality meals while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and company standards.
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure food is prepared consistently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Monitor food quality and notify management of any product shortages.
- Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory using FIFO practices.
- Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
- Help with opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
