Chuck Lager Legendary Kitchen is seeking skilled and experienced Line Cooks to join our kitchen team! As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate preparation of ingredients and the timely, consistent execution of our dishes on the line. These roles require accuracy, speed, and a strong commitment to food safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
Line Cook Duties:
- Set up and stock a designated station (e.g., grill, sauté, fryer) with all necessary tools and ingredients before service.
- Prepare menu items precisely to the Chef’s specifications and quality standards during service.
- Ensure all food is cooked and presented with consistency and speed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with other kitchen staff to coordinate dish timing.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your station throughout and after the shift.
General Kitchen Duties:
- Adhere strictly to all local and company sanitation, health, and safety standards.
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and removing trash.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or food quality issues to the management immediately.
Required:
- Proven experience ([e.g., 2 years) as a Line Cook in a full service concept.
- Strong knife skills and fundamental knowledge of various cooking methods.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A current Food Handler's certification (or ability to obtain one shortly after hire).
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred:
- Culinary school certificate or diploma is a plus.
- Experience with Grill and/or Saute stations.
