POSITION OVERVIEW
Are you ready to take charge of our talent acquisition strategy? As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll spearhead our company's hiring needs, sculpt recruitment programs, and oversee every aspect of the recruitment cycle. You'll collaborate with the Human Resources department on cross functional projects, advertise openings, and ensure our hiring practices adhere to legal and ethical standards. Plus, get ready to hit the road – this role entails 5-10% travel.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Workforce Planning – Participates in the budget creation process for recruitment efforts. Assists in headcount planning by assessing department needs with managers.
- Staff Requisition – Owns the internal staff requisition process. Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed Mission Criticals and hiring criteria. Develops and manages the internal job bidding process.
- Candidate Sourcing – Oversees and evaluates recruitment and staffing services. Attends and participates in college and local job fairs and recruiting sessions. Utilizes job boards, college career departments, candidate sourcing sites, and other local methods to fill roles. Utilizes creative solutions for diverse recruitment needs. Maintains database of candidate records for job pipelines. Owns the employee referral program. Identifies roadblocks and proposes solutions.
- Interviewing – Screens resumes and performs initial vetting before moving qualified candidates forward. Administers role assessments as part of the selection process. Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials. Manages the interview candidates’ hotels, travel and interview agenda. Keeps key members informed by reporting the status of open positions on a frequent basis.
- Pre-Employment & Orientation – Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, bonus target letters, and other pertinent details. Administers pre-employment screenings such as background checks and drug screening. Supports the onboarding and orientation process at all locations. Sends new hire welcome announcements for salary employees.
- Analytics – Analyzes turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needs. Keeps leadership informed of changing recruitment metrics and practices. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Documentation & Compliance – Develops and manages engaging job postings for every job description. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, pre-employment practices, and company policies.
- Community Engagement – Acts as a promoter of employer brand to external sources. Develops and manages the CHT USA internship/apprenticeship program.
- All other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organization Leadership, other related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process
- SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential or SHRM-CP Certification (preferred)
- Experience with ADP WFN’s Recruitment Module (preferred)
- Experience with Workday (preferred)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates ONSITE in a professional office environment. Although, there are occasions when it is necessary to be in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role works Monday - Friday during business hours, and as needed to complete the workload.
