PCB Assembly Technician (Through-Hole Soldering)

CHS is hiring on behalf of a Mount Pleasant client renowned for building precise electronic and electromechanical assemblies that power complex, quality-driven manufacturing. Position Snapshot

• Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Thursday, 3pm–2am
• Pay: $16–$19/hour, based on experience
• Type: Temp-to-Hire
• Location: Mount Pleasant

A Day in Your Shift

When your shift starts, you’ll review build documentation, gather components, and set up your bench. As production moves, you’ll methodically solder through-hole components to specification, wire up prototypes and specialized builds, and support automated soldering operations. You’ll finish by verifying workmanship, recording any needed process notes, and staging assemblies for the next operation.

What You’ll Handle

• Precision hand-soldering of through-hole (THT) components to defined specifications
• Wiring and soldering for prototypes and specialty assemblies
• Assisting with wave solder and selective solder machine operations
• Cutting, forming, and preparing components prior to assembly
• Building chassis and electromechanical subassemblies with assorted hardware
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and process sheets
• Following workmanship standards and documented production procedures for consistent quality

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of electronics assembly experience preferred
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Familiarity with identifying electronic components
• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to quality workmanship
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting
• Confidence working with small, delicate components and following detailed instructions
