Job Overview

The Program Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Chrysalis program. Job duties and responsibilities are summarized as follows:

  • Provide recommendations to the Executive Director regarding employment and personnel issues associated with supervision of the following positions: Treatment Coordinators, Day Evening Treatment Specialists, and Behavior Aides.
  • Schedules, supervises and evaluates Treatment Coordinators, Day and Evening Treatment Specialists, and PRN staff.
  • Prepares staff schedules, assists with making sure that the business manager has PTO request, CEU’s, and any written documentations pertaining to staff.
  • Receive and communicate to the management team any written grievances from staff or residents.
  • Make recommendations to the Executive Director concerning personnel issues including annual raises.
  • Document performance problems in periodic personnel performance evaluations (as outlined in Personnel Policies and Procedures). Provide documentation to the Executive Director of progress or lack of progress in areas of performance.
  • Remain on call after normal working hours to assist staff in crisis management.
  • Offer flexible support by stepping into Treatment Coordinator or other staff positions as necessary.
  • Work with the Program Director in developing and scheduling appropriate educational and recreational activities for residents as needed.
  • Meet with State officials for site visits conducted by EEOC, Social Services, Fire Department, Health Department, Contracts and Grants and/or licensing review.
  • At the request of the Executive Director, meet with the Chrysalis Board Representatives to provide periodic progress reports, assure open communication, and provide feedback to the Chrysalis Board if needed.
  • Prepare a weekly report to be submitted to the Executive Director to include any staffing challenges or incidents or any progress of home/vehicle repairs or needed maintenance.
  • Supervises staff and on-site delivery of basic living skills, family support, mental health consultations and crisis intervention and provides documentation for Medicaid billing to Business Manager including record keeping, and records maintenance.
  • Maintain records of all house expenditure and assists Business Manager in monthly budget reconciliation including all income and receipts of money taken in or paid out of Chrysalis funds.
  • Check BLS for corrections each week, get staff to make corrections and then graph the BLS for the Program Director and/or Clinical Director.
  • Assist with getting BLS online for staff to be able to type the BLS.
  • Meet with each of the Treatment Coordinators to discuss and help with transition at changing shifts.
  • Supervise daily payment of household bills, resident allowances, grocery, and household shopping and maintains records for the household and operations account. Approve all daily household expenditures from Chrysalis accounts within contract requirements.
  • Maintain a record of the time spent performing the duties and responsibilities contained herein and make this record available to the Executive Director as requested.
  • Read and maintain familiarity with the Minimum Standards for Childcare Facilities, and keeps up with periodic revisions and DHR policies and implements these standards and policies for the Chrysalis Home
  • Help with scheduling appropriate educational, recreational, social, and spiritual activities as outlined in Chrysalis Policies and Procedures
  • Participate in clinical training and clinical planning sessions with the Clinical Director and ensures staff are implementing treatment plans as outlined by the Clinical Director
  • Supervise or conduct group/individual sessions with residents related to strengths development.
  • Schedule and/or transports clients to and from appointments. Arrange for clients to be carried to or picked up from school and school-related activities.
  • Responsible for keeping assigned building(s) and vehicle(s) clean, safe, functional, and secure in accordance with prescribed codes and established policies and standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining all assigned building(s) and vehicle(s) in a state of operational excellence such that they present no interruptions, distractions, or obstacles to the program.
  • Establish and review emergency escape plans, fire, tornado, and emergency plans or drills in the event of an intruder or natural disaster; Conduct fire and tornado/hurricane drills at least one time every three months.
  • Meet with the Management Team at least once every week to discuss the operation of the Chrysalis Program.
  • Organize the location of files and records on site, maintain proper organization of incoming and outgoing documents, and maintain responsibility for security of confidential records kept on site.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred but not required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Documented physical health adequate to participate in activities with residents.
  • Minimum age of twenty-five
  • Training and/or experience in child development issues
  • At least 2 years of Supervisory experience required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
