Key Responsibilities
- Medication Management: Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Patient Education: Explain medication benefits, risks, and alternatives to patients and their families.
- Health Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations and interpret diagnostic tests to develop individualized care plans.
- Integrated Care: Collaborate with mental health professionals and other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient support.
- Care Plan Development: Create and adjust treatment plans to align with patient needs and progress.
- Health Promotion: Provide counseling and education on wellness, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in compliance with Chrysalis Health policies.
- Adhere to state and federal regulations, ensuring all practices meet legal and ethical standards.
- Respond to urgent situations with professionalism and compassion.
- Participate in organizational initiatives, including emergency response assignments (e.g., hurricanes, pandemics).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current Florida PMHNP license.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an NP with children and adolescents.
- Knowledge of psychiatric principles and medication management best practices.
- Valid Medicaid Provider Number and appropriate malpractice insurance.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
- Strong knowledge of health promotion and disease prevention.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
