Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics processes. This role ensures that goods are shipped and received in the timeliest and cost-efficient manner according to documented processes including selecting mode of transportation and tracking of shipments.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Compliance with the Quality Management System and Environmental, Health & Safety requirements including being responsible for quality of work, good documentation practices/recordkeeping, good manufacturing practices (GMP) and safety.
- Logistics Coordination: Track and monitor ocean/air freight from origin to the final warehouse or customer facility.
- Documentation & Customs: Prepare, verify, and process customs entries, bills of lading, and commercial invoices.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and other government/FDA requirements.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with trucking companies, port authorities, overseas agents, and internal departments.
Competencies:
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, supply chain, or import/export operations.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), and supply chain software.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities, conflict resolution, and clear verbal and written communication.
- Experience in filling out FDA form 2877 for incoming shipments.
- Experience in filing AES transmittal for all shipments over 2500.00 USD on exporting internationally.
