What are the responsibilities and job description for the IMMEDIATE OPENING IN SHADOW CREEK PARKWAY AREA position at Chronicle Newspaper?
Looking for Reliable people to deliver newspapers 7 days a week, ever week in the Pearland and surrounding areas.
In simple terms this is what I have available in a warehouse that rarely has openings.
1 route in Pearland around Shadow Creek pkwy there are some apartments to deliver to the door, a few not a lot.
We require, (and its not negotiable),
Drivers License
Insurance with your name listed as a driver
Reliable Vehicle something 10 years or less with a spare tire and that's economical.
We work every night...read that again. Our paper comes out every night and each route is assigned to a person to be responsible for it. Once you finish your route you let us know and go home from there. Most routes take appx 3 hours once you know it, may be less depending on the person. Sunday has more papers Sunday (which we receive Saturday night at 10 pm) is a longer night due to more subscribers .
I'm only looking for long term carriers who don't travel and are looking to make extra money in a few hours a night. If you have plans for the summer etc, this isn't for you.
Our truck comes about 9:30 pm. You can roll your papers at the warehouse or take them and roll them in the car to save time.
Customer Service is VERY IMPORTANT. Customers want their paper like others want their Amazon package or Pizza so constant regular on time delivery is very important. We deliver papers not just "throw" them. Accuracy is very important.
Now the important stuff:
We pay weekly Mon -Sun. We do direct deposit to a bank you can walk into, no online banking like Chime etc.
Its an Independent Contractor position so we do not take out taxes.
You work from your own car, so if you want you can always bring someone with you.
The route pays per paper delivered and an incentive for no complaints which makes up the appx pay per route. It will change week to week a little due to paper counts or customer tips. This route takes about 3 hours once you know it. You can always add to it later if you wanted more money.
