Specifically, your focus will be on finding efficient, clean and innovative ways to minimize energy use, substitute fossil fuel technology and decarbonize our buildings and infrastructure to enable Spirax Group to meet our ambitious net zero targets.This role will be based on operational needs. Business-related travel is required to support initiatives and overall business needs. Exact amount to be determined by project workload and operational needs.Key ResponsibilitiesWork across multiple sites, collaborating with senior managers and their teams to design, deliver and evolve our low carbon roadmapsMonitor energy consumption and usage patterns within our organization, identifying areas where energy is used inefficiently and wasted and taking action to prevent thisEnhance data management to improve program tracking and support the digitalization and automation strategy of our businessSupport the development of the technical expertise and engagement of site teams to deliver sustainable operational control in the long termCarry out site inspections and energy audits to identify opportunities and support implementationPrepare detailed program of work, feasibility studies and cost and carbon saving estimatesLiaise and negotiate with specialist contractors and other relevant organizationsDevelop and improve operational control and site procedures to enhance efficiency of energy, reduce wastage and comply with Group policiesEngage third parties to identify, develop and support the implementation of onsite renewable energy technologies, where viable.A willingness to travel across the region you're supporting.Collaboration & Stakeholder EngagementFoster strong relationships with Environment & Sustainability, EHS, Operational & Commercial Partners and Community Engagement contacts across all ETS Operating Companies to ensure clear understanding of environment and sustainability performance.Collaborate on efforts to showcase & grow the commercial value of the environment and sustainability initiatives, including internal & external benchmarking & market analysis.Provide environment & sustainability guidance and support across ETS, including regional specialists and Champions.Collaborate on identifying/growing internal metrics & KPIs to measure sustainability benefits of ETS related products and solutions in support of the One Planet Strategy. Requirements:Degree/postgraduate degree in a STEM or engineering discipline with a proven track record in energy management or a related disciplineDetailed knowledge and understanding of energy fundamentals, metering monitoring and targeting techniques, building management systems, heat recovery, compressed air and HVACExperience of successful project management in a manufacturingExperience coordinating multiple projects, ideally across different geographiesDetailed knowledge and understanding of energy and carbon management, the Greenhouse Gas Management Hierarchy, and developing net zero emissions plansAn energy management qualification, such as UK Energy Institute Level 2 or local equivalent, is desirableStrong analytical skills and data managementA proven ability to identify, analyze and objectively solve problemsGood inter-personal skills, with an ability to develop relationships at all levels of the organization and drive change using influence, including training on energy/carbonResults driven, self-motivated and able to work well individually or as part of a teamExperience working across a global businessDemonstrate a flexible and collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment, & abilities to manage competing prioritiesExpert in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BIAn analytical person who is willing to dive into the detail to identify trends and root causes to identify potential focus areas and solutionsDemonstrate strong oral and written communication skillsAlignment with core organizational values: Collaboration, Customer Focus, Respect, Safety, Excellence, Integrity.At Chromalox, we are not just an employer but a champion of equal opportunities and inclusivity.
