Chromalloy is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing Group. This role will focus on laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) material development and end-use component manufacturing, while also supporting laser powder welding repair applications for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and optimization/troubleshooting of legacy repairs. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with a collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring.

Key Responsibilities
Additive Manufacturing Development:
- Lead material development and process optimization for LPBF components.
- Support design-for-additive initiatives and qualification of end-use parts.
- Contribute to development and improvement of laser powder welding techniques.
- Troubleshoot and optimize legacy repair processes to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate on cladding and additive components for new PMA parts and repair offerings.
- Drive process improvements and implement best practices across manufacturing sites.
- Engage with and mentor junior engineers in laser-based welding and additive technologies.
- Promote technical excellence and workforce upskilling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8 years of experience in additive manufacturing, preferably LPBF.
- Hands-on experience with laser powder welding and repair applications.
- Strong understanding of AM process parameters, material properties, and qualification standards.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM tools and metallurgical analysis techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with excellent communication
