GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing.

We are looking for a candidate that has enthusiasm and is interested in growing with the company. This individual will work primarily in our headquarters, but may need to travel to other locations around the area. This individual will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance, including but not limited to inspections, troubleshooting, repairs on machinery or equipment, and building different systems like HVAC, electrical and plumbing. The successful individual will respond to requests via a ticketing system in a timely manner while preventing equipment failures, maintaining safety, documenting work, and using technical skills with tools to ensure smooth operations. This individual will need to be able to drive our company vehicles and thus, pass a background check prior to employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform maintenance, routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on machinery, equipment and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose any mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. Determine any necessary repairs.
• Make necessary repairs using hand tools and other equipment and replace defective parts.
• Maintain and monitor systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
• Address and respond to maintenance requests and repairs via the ticketing system.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during all maintenance activities and inspect for safety compliance.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work, service logs, and updated documentation.
• Working skill set with Windows 7 or XP and Microsoft Word and Excel required, along with basic computer skills
• Must be proficient with hand tools and diagnostic equipment for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Prior knowledge of internet software such as using inventory management, spreadsheet software and MS Word.
• Ability to analyze different issues, identify causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong attention to detail is needed for accurate inspections and thorough repairs.
• Able to lift heavy objects and perform tasks in various physical condition.
• Clearly communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Effective time management to complete tasks promptly and prioritize urgent issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 2 years of prior experience working as a maintenance tech.
• Possess basic knowledge and understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Possess valid CA Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and have a reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to properly communicate, both orally and written. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work around company schedules.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:

This is a non-supervisory position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

General office skills and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
