Position Overview:
The Director at Chroma Early Learning Academy serves as the on-site leader, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality educational environment for all children. This role requires a visionary leader who can inspire staff, foster strong relationships with families, maintain compliance with all state and company standards, and drive enrollment growth.
The Director works closely with the Regional Director and management team to ensure that Chroma’s mission—providing exceptional early childhood education and care—is consistently met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and support teaching and administrative staff to maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations, provide training, and encourage continuous professional development.
- Uphold Chroma’s philosophy and educational approach while ensuring each classroom meets quality standards.
Operational Excellence
- Manage day-to-day operations of the center, including scheduling, staffing, classroom ratios, and building maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, quality rating systems, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate administrative, financial, and enrollment records.
Family & Community Engagement
- Foster positive, trusting relationships with families through clear communication, responsiveness, and engagement in center activities.
- Address and resolve parent concerns promptly and professionally.
- Represent Chroma in the community and build strong partnerships to promote the program.
Financial & Enrollment Management
- Monitor budget performance, control expenses, and meet enrollment and revenue goals.
- Implement marketing and outreach efforts to attract and retain families.
- Conduct tours for prospective families, clearly communicating Chroma’s value and curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development Associate Degree, Paraprofessional Certificate or 40 Hours of Directors Training.
- Minimum of 5 years of early childhood education experience in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of state licensing requirements and quality standards for early childhood programs.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, drive enrollment, and meet operational goals.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
