What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd & 3rd shift operator position at Chroma Color Corp?
Chroma Color in McHenry, IL is hiring directly for Production Operators for 2nd and 3rd shift ONLY ! We work 10 hour days Monday through Thursday and there is a possibility we may go back to 8 hour days in the future.

Your job as an Operator is to create batches of materials by weighing and mixing dyes, pigments and chemical additives for use in various plastic materials. Then extruding the material to create pellets.

What’s the work schedule?
- 2nd shift is 4pm to 2:30am (MON-THUR)
- 3rd shift is 10pm to 8:30am (MON- THUR)
- **Overtime as needed during the week and on Fridays/Saturdays
What’s the Job?
- Carefully follow safety and cleaning protocols, and ensure that product is made accurately, according to specifications, avoiding waste of time and resources.
- Able to understand and follow written work instructions to extrude material per specifications meeting production targets and quality requirements.
- Complete required paperwork and ensures process consistency.
- Keep work area organized and safe at all times.
- Comply with all EHS requirements.
- Ability to frequently: lift or move up to 50 pounds; bend and scoop from drums and gaylords; and roll drums up to 300 pounds
- Additional duties as assigned, including housekeeping and assisting in other areas.
You and your experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Reliability in attendance is a must and occasional overtime is required
