Other responsibilities will include interaction with customers including taking orders and ringing customers out. Duties
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and portioning fresh produce, meats, and cheeses using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Assemble sandwiches according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and presentation quality
- Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, grills, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Taking orders and ringing customers out.
- Follow recipes precisely to maintain flavor profiles and portion control across all menu items
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special orders as needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant, or catering is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary menu planning is a plus
- Strong food handling skills with an understanding of safety standards in production environments
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to food safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
- Demonstrated ability to perform food preparation tasks including slicing, chopping, and assembling meals
- Basic cleaning skills to maintain a sanitary workspace at all times
