POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated individual for a position that involves achieving high standards of quality, productivity, and safety in a hands-on role. This position requires physical labor, including regularly lifting heavy objects (minimum 50 lbs). Ideal for those who enjoy working with their hands and contributing to a team.
POSITION DETAILS
- Continuously think of ways to improve work processes, safety, and efficiency, and share ideas, no matter how big or small.
- Work independently and collaboratively on project teams.
- Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to determine necessary parts and weld placements.
- Assemble parts using manual and tool-assisted methods, including flashing and brazing.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Operate hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, tape measures).
- Assist with masonry work and tending.
- Operate a forklift (training provided).
- Work with castable.
- Perform other duties as required or instructed by the shift supervisor.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in industrial work is a plus, but not required for temporary roles.
- Ability to learn and use measuring devices such as calipers, steel rules, and tape measures.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand common units of measurement.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform prolonged physical exertion.
- Capable of standing for long periods, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in various positions and weather conditions.
